Resize without uploading

Image decoding, resizing and export happen locally in your browser.

Precise dimensions

Enter exact width and height or use a percentage while optionally locking the original ratio.

Flexible crop

Use Free, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9, then move or resize the crop box.

How to use Resize & Crop Image Online

  1. 1

    Add an image

Choose, drag or paste the image you want to resize.

  2. 2

Resize changes dimensions, not the crop area

Set an exact width and height or scale by percentage. Keeping the aspect ratio locked avoids stretching; quick-width presets change width while preserving the selected proportions.

  3. 3

Crop removes pixels outside the selected area

Move and resize the crop box, use exact X/Y/Width/Height values, or choose a common aspect ratio. Cropping does not resize the selected pixels unless you switch back to Resize.

  4. 4

    Export the resized image

Confirm the output dimensions, choose JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF, then export the result.

About Resize PNG Image Online

Resize changes output dimensions by pixels or percentage. Lock the aspect ratio to avoid accidental distortion.

About PNG

PNG is lossless and supports transparency. It is useful for graphics, screenshots and images that need crisp edges.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing a PNG keep its transparent background?

PNG output can preserve transparency. JPG cannot, so use PNG when you need transparent logos, stickers, cutouts, or graphics with transparent edges.

How do I resize a PNG without distorting it?

Keep Lock aspect ratio enabled. Width, height, percentage, and quick-width controls preserve the current proportions unless you deliberately unlock them.

Why is there no quality slider for PNG output?

PNG is exported without a lossy quality setting. File size still depends on dimensions, transparency, and image content; reducing pixel dimensions is the usual way to make a PNG smaller.

Will resizing upload or replace my original PNG?

No. ViewerPix creates a new image locally in your browser. The original is not uploaded or replaced, and embedded metadata may not be carried to the resized file.

Private browser processing

ViewerPix processes supported images on your device. Your image files are not uploaded to a ViewerPix application server for this task.

PNG

PNG can preserve transparency when exported as PNG or WebP. Exporting a transparent PNG as JPG fills transparent areas with the selected JPG background color.
